Abstract

This research is motivated by the observations of researchers that the ability to write intrinsic elements of the saga is very low. This was allegedly due to the application of inappropriate learning methods. Then the interests and motivation of student learning are also very lacking so students cannot play an active role. The purpose of the formulation of this problem is to describe and know the planning of writing intrinsic elements of saga, the results of Cooperative Script learning on the ability to understand the intrinsic elements of class X students' stories. The research method used is quantitative experimental methods. The design of this research method is the type of design of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population studied were all SMK students with a total of 60 people. While for the sample, there are 20 class X students. Data collection techniques are through research tests/questionnaires. Data processing techniques are carried out using statistics. The results of this study are that there is an increase in understanding of saga learning. Students are able to write intrinsic elements of the story well and students can feel the results of learning are very satisfying. Obtained an increase in the results of learning using the Cooperative Script method there are significant differences in values, the highest value of the initial test of 78 and the final test value of 90, it was concluded that this method is suitably applied to learning writing.

Abstract

The background of this research is that some facts found in the field of students cannot express their ideas and imagination into a poem due to difficulties in finding poetic words and the use of less innovative methods. This can be proven from the results of previous student observations showing that some students were less motivated during the learning process, so that students obtained poetry values with less criteria. In connection with this problem, the formulation of the problem of this research is how the results of writing poetry before and after the application of the quantum learning method? This study aims to determine the results of writing poetry using the quantum learning method. The method used is an experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The average value of the initial test (pretest) obtained was 70.31 while the average value of the final test (posttest) was 80.78, an increase of 11.41%. The SPSS results showed a paired T sample sig test 0,000 <0,05. Therefore it can be concluded if the quantum learning method can be used in poetry learning, because students can make poetry better than before the implementation of the quantum learning method.

Abstract

In this study based on curiosity to analyze the meaning contained in the sentence between sentences and diction contained in the poem "Pada Suatu Pagi Hari". The researcher formulates the problem as follows (1) to analyze the pragmatics and diction of the poem "Pada Suatu Pagi Hari", (2) to describe the sentence poem between sentences, denotation meaning, and connotation meaning. The purpose of analyzing on the part of the pragmatic meaning of the verse poem "Pada Suatu Pagi Hari"? and what is the meaning of sentence sentences between sentences? So that it aims to discuss (1) to analyze the pragmatic poem "Pada Suatu Pagi Hari". (2) to describe sentence poetry between sentences, denotation meanings and connotation meanings, as well as intrinsic elements. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods, this method is a research method that examines and discusses aspects of word choice by ensuring the contents of the poem to the denotation and connotation meanings. In the results of the analysis, there are seven types of meanings between sentences. Denotation meanings are listed in five types of sentence meanings, while connotation meanings are listed in two types of sentence meanings.

Abstract

This research is based on the existence of students who experience difficulties in learning to write editorial texts, it is based on student evaluation data that is still not optimal in writing editorial texts, this is contrary to the innovation of learning methods used by teachers, to improve this research using application learning methods innovative, drill method. The method of drill or ready training is a method that can improve writing skills, so that it can be developed into a complete work. This study discusses improving students 'abilities in learning to write editorial texts, thus making the authors formulate the following problems: Is it necessary to improve students' ability to learn to write editorial texts using the drill method? This study uses the Pre-Experimental Design method with the design form of One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Based on the results of the study. Improving the ability of students to write editorial texts using the drill method. Based on the calculation of the hypothesis t test using the SPSS 21.0 program obtained the results of tcount (7,519) abel t table (1,734). This shows that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Drill method proved effective in learning to write editorial texts.

Abstract

The matter of this research is based on human development and a variety of new habits that require the adjustment of individuals who are more mentally stable. The existence of the development of the times which raises new norms or rules requires humans to be able to adjust to the conditions that occur. The many positive and negative impacts that result from these developments make people have to be able to choose and sort out something good or bad. From these problems, the researcher limits the discussion of this study to the problem of influence and the role of parents on children's moral development. This study aims to analyze various influences and effects of the environment, free association, and technology on children's moral changes in character formation. The method used in this study uses descriptive methods that allow researchers to obtain data and describe without giving special treatment or in accordance with the facts found by researchers. The results of the analysis of this study indicate that children's moral development is influenced by various factors including environmental factors, technology, and promiscuity, to avoid the impact of these factors the role of parents is very much needed in providing guidance and advice.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that the difficulties faced by students in producing when expressing ideas and ideas in determining the language elements of the exposition text. more students do not understand the exposition text than students who already understand how to write exposition text, so researchers offer a learning model Think talk write as a solution to overcome this problem. Using the model, students can learn in a structured and not boring way, because this model is structured, students will be able to capture and absorb learning well. This study was conducted to find out 1) whether the think talk writes model can foster the skill of writing exposition text 2) whether there are differences before or after using the think talk write model. The aim of the researcher for this writing skill is to make learning in the classroom effective. Therefore, researchers used the think talk write (TTW) model as a solution to these problems. This study uses the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design method, the data obtained from the results of the pretest and posttest. The average results of the pretest students get 68 and the average posttest results obtained are 78. Based on the results of the analysis seen differences before and after treatment. In other words, the model (TTW) is effectively used in learning exposition text writing.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of observational data that shows the value of student learning outcomes is low, so students experience difficulties during learning. Based on this, the study of exposition text writing is carried out using the picture and picture method. The objectives to be obtained are to find out the application of the picture and picture method in improving students' writing skills and to find out the differences in the learning outcomes of writing exposition text using picture and picture. The research method used is Quasi-Experimental Design. The sample used in the study was the X class of Vocational School which numbered 25 students. Data collection techniques with initial test data collection and final test data as a comparison. Based on the results of these tests, then there are results of the average pretest value obtained value of 63.20 and the results of the average posttest value obtained value of 81.80 so that the difference in value with a difference of 18.6. This shows that the application of the picture and picture method is effectively used so that it can improve the ability to write exposition text in class X of Vocational School.

Abstract

The short story "Misteri Uang Melayang" is one of the literary works that can be used as motivation for readers and writers. The contents of this short story are very interesting because the contents of the story are common in everyday life. Various moral polemics in aspects of life are manifested clearly by the authors, especially those that occur in the world of education. The problem statement focuses on moral values. The purpose of his research was to analyze the moral values contained in Sona's short story entitled “Misteri Uang Melayang”. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection in this research by reading, analyzing, and marking texts or sentences that are included in moral values. This is done so that moral values in the short story are easily identified and implemented in daily life by the reader. Through this research, the reader is expected to be able to reap the moral values presented by the author in his short story. Through the research, the moral values in this story never give up, willing to sacrifice and without ulterior motives, hard work, creative, forgive each other and don’t be cunning and cheating to get things done. Through the research process, the author seeks to integrate moral values well so that the desired goals can reach the reader. Thus it can be concluded that the short story produced by Sona is suitable to be read by all groups, both ordinary people and intellectuals. Teenagers and parents can enjoy it too.

Abstract

The background of this study is based on the fact that students feel difficult when writing explanatory texts. The difficulties faced by students include difficult to express ideas in writing complex explanatory texts. This statement is proven by the answers of the students when filling out the questionnaire given by the teacher. This study aims to see the effect of the picture and picture method on the results of student writing. The researcher used an experimental method with a design (one group pre-test post-test), the data collected was the initial test (pre-test) and the final test (post-test). The instruments used were evaluation questions, to see the results of student writing, observations to see the learning process of students in the class, and questionnaires to find out student responses related to the application of the methods carried out on 30 class students as a research sample. The results of the study show that the picture and picture learning method influences student learning outcomes in writing complex explanatory texts. It can be seen from the average value obtained by students before and after being treated using the picture and picture method. The average value of students before being given treatment is 74.2 and after being given treatment using the method of picture and picture the average value of students increases to 82.7. So, the picture and pictured method can be applied in learning to write explanatory texts because it is proven to increase the average value of students in writing complex explanatory texts.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the existence of data from the results of observations in the field, which resulted in the ability to write biographical texts on high school students who were still low. This is because there are teacher problems that are not appropriate in applying the method, so students feel difficulties in learning in school. Based on the description, the researchers conducted a study of the application of the jigsaw method to learning to write biographical texts of high school students expected by using these methods to obtain better results. The purpose to be obtained is to find out the process of students using the jigsaw method and to find out the differences in the learning outcomes of writing biographical texts using the jigsaw method. This study also used the Quasi Experimental Design research method with a one group pre-test post-test design approach. The researcher chose 35 high school students in the sample. Data collection techniques were used by conducting the initial test (pretest) and the final test (posttest). Based on these results the average value of pretest is 60.7 and the average posttest value is 80.91 so that there is a difference in value of 20.21 which can be concluded that the jigsaw method is effective in solving teacher problems that are not appropriate in applying the method.
